50 Master and Doctoral Level Clinicians
We have a highly-educated, well-trained staff that is focused on many different areas of clinical practice. We have clinicians who specialize in treating specific issues (i.e., anxiety, depression, trauma, etc.), as well as clinicians who specialize with different client populations (i.e., children, adolescents, adults). In the area of assessment, we have clinicians who specialize in assessments for mental health, learning, attention, autism and neuropsychology.
Psychotherapy/Counselling: Efficient, Collaborative, Goal-Oriented, Evidence-Based
In Canada, 1 in 5 people will experience a challenge with a mental health issue. Psychotherapy/counselling is often an effective way to address challenging life circumstances and make important changes to improve quality of life. At Sullivan + Associates, we believe that effective treatment, whether for children, teens, or adults, should be goal-oriented, collaborative, skills-based, and time-limited.
Assessments
Answering Important Questions
We offer a wide range of assessments for areas such as mental health, learning, attention, autism and neuropsychology.
We have developed an effective and efficient process for our assessments, from the initial point of contact through to the feedback session. Our Assessment team addresses all assessment-based inquiries and helps clients determine the most suitable type of assessment based on their specific needs. They also serve as a consistent point of contact and oversee the entire process. Our Psychologists and Psychological Associates make every effort to ensure the process is pleasant and comfortable and that the findings are written and communicated in a positive, respectful and useful manner.

How A Consultation Can Be Helpful
If you’re considering psychotherapy/counselling or a psychological assessment, we recommend you consider an online consultation. An online consultation can help to:
- Decide whether psychotherapy/counselling or an assessment would be more beneficial.
- Provide more information to determine if psychotherapy/counselling can help you better manage a challenging issue or achieve a goal.
- Decide what type of psychological assessment would be most helpful if you feel there is an unknown challenge in an area of your life, but are uncertain about what assessment would be most beneficial.
- Provide an answer to any question you have about our clinical services!
Our Promise to You
We are fully committed to providing the best service possible and strongly believe in finding the right clinician for each of our clients. After the first session, if you do not feel an optimal connection with your therapist or the session did not fully meet your needs, we will transfer you to a new clinician, and the first appointment will be free of charge.
Quick 1st Appointment
The ability to access the service quickly can be critically important. Studies show that when individuals have a mental health issue that needs to be addressed, waiting for treatment results in negative consequences (i.e., the problem gets worse). At Sullivan + Associates, we have always looked to book clients as quickly as possible and maintain a consistent appointment schedule afterwards. Over the past 18 years, our clinic has expanded from 2 to 47 clinicians as we continue to strive to book appointments quickly and help meet the public demand for mental health services throughout the province of Ontario.

More Information
At Sullivan + Associates, we are aware of the significant demand and associated costs of mental health services. At present, the Canadian government spends $51 billion per year on mental health funding; yet, assessment and psychotherapy/counselling services continue to be underfunded, and long wait lists persist. We recognize that cost can be a barrier to accessing services, and we do our best to help educate the public about the different funding sources available for coverage.
We have been offering clinical services for over 18 years. During this time, we have continued to develop and refine our clinic’s process for delivering assessment and psychotherapy/counselling services. Our approach has continued to evolve over the years, as we strive to answer important clinical questions with psychological assessments and help clients to achieve their goals through psychotherapy /counselling.
At this time, challenges with mental health issues are at an all-time high. It has never been more crucial to access efficient and effective mental health services promptly. Virtual services can help facilitate access to care, and recent studies are beginning to show that virtual services can be just as effective in treating mental health issues as in-person treatment.
There is a saying that, “Knowledge is power.”. There is truth to that statement, but a more accurate statement would be, “Proper knowledge applied consistently and appropriately is power.” At Sullivan + Associates, our goal is to provide as many free resources as we can via articles, infographics and videos that offer evidence-based information, presented in a user-friendly format that can help people better cope with a mental health issue.
