Hepatitis C (HCV) can be prevented. It can be treated. And most importantly - it can be cured.

At Elevate, we walk with you through every step: from prevention and testing to treatment and long-term wellness. Whether you have questions, want to get tested, or are ready to begin treatment, we’re here to help, without judgment.

HCV Prevention: Know the Risks

HCV is only spread through blood-to-blood contact. You cannot get Hepatitis C from:

  • Hugging or kissing
  • Coughing or sneezing
  • Sharing food or water
  • Breastfeeding or casual contact

But because HCV lives in blood, even a microscopic break in the skin can let it in.

Protect yourself and others:

  • Use new equipment every time (needles, straws, pipes, etc.)
  • Never share razors, nail clippers, or toothbrushes
  • Be aware of situations where blood exposure can happen, even invisibly

Staying informed and prepared can stop the virus before it starts.

HCV Testing: Know Your Status

Getting tested is one of the most important ways to take care of yourself—and others.

Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 2 PM

Walk-in testing is available: free, confidential, and first-come-first-served.
Appointments can be booked through our Clinical Care Team (807) 345-1516.

We recommend testing at least once a year, or more often depending on your health and life experiences.

HCV Treatment & Cure: Yes, It’s Possible

If you test positive, know that there is a cure. And Elevate is ready to support you every step of the way.
