GSH is aware of a power outage in the South End affecting 236 customers. We are investigating.
Greater Sudbury Hydro is aware of a power outage currently impacting customers on South Shore Road. Crews have been dispatched to the area and are actively working to determine the cause.

ConverGen

At our Landfill Gas Generation facility ConverGen converts gasses, which would otherwise have been wasted, into electricity, making tomorrow’s energy — greener.

In 2024:

  • Produced 6.02 MWh of electricity
  • Enough to power over 669 homes during the year
  • $228,783 transferred to CGS for gas

Since 2007:

  • Produced 112,978,175 KwH
  • Enough to power nearly 900 homes/yr (avg 700 KwH/month)
  • $4,280,908 transferred to CGS for gas
