  • 4 Ontario Health Teams (OHTs)
  • Patient, client, and resident representatives
  • Ontario Health
  • Academic partners
  • Provincial support partners

Our Vision

To be a leading health system, where partners work together to achieve the best outcomes and care experience for the people of Northwestern Ontario.

What We Do

RSSN serves two core functions:

  1. Coordinated Regional Specialized Services
We plan and deliver specialized services across the region to ensure a full continuum of care is available to OHT populations.

  2. Regional Enablers & Back Office Supports
We provide shared supports such as digital health tools, population health data/management, and other enabling functions that are not feasible to deliver at a purely local level.

This collaborative, regional approach ensures consistency, equity, and coordination that improve:

  • Patient, client, and resident experiences

  • Population health outcomes

  • System efficiency

Importantly, regional funding investments help address health inequalities, rurality, and unique population needs across Northwestern Ontario.
