What Makes Sullivan + Associates Unique?

As awareness about mental health increases, demand has arisen, and more options for services have become available. So, why consider Sullivan + Associates for psychotherapy/counselling or psychological assessment services?

Our Experience

Over the past 12 years, we have seen over 20,000 clients, and our therapists/assessors have been involved in over 100,000 appointments. In 2007, our clinic began as a small, private practice with company founders, Dr. Jennifer Sullivan and Trevor Sullivan and has grown to include 28 Master and Doctoral-level clinicians. The clinicians at our clinic vary in age and experience. Regular supervision meetings occur at our clinic not only to maintain supervision requirements with a supervising Psychologist but to ensure that the experience of our senior clinicians is shared with our entire staff. We are very fortunate to have Psychotherapists with over 40 years of psychotherapy/counselling experience and a Psychologist with over 50 years of psychological assessment experience.

Our Clinicians

We have 28 Master and Doctoral Level clinicians. Our Master-level clinicians have a minimum of 6 years of post-secondary (University) education, while our Doctoral-level clinicians have a minimum of 10 years of post-secondary (University) education. Our clinicians remain current in the field of psychology by meeting yearly, continuing education requirements and maintaining registration with their regulated professional College.

Our Clinical Approach

During the past ten years of offering psychotherapy/counselling and psychological assessment services our Chief Psychologist, Dr. Jennifer Sullivan, has continued to update and modify our services to best serve our clients. Over time, she has developed a framework for psychotherapy/counselling and assessment services that not only provides consistency with our clinical team but helps our clients to achieve results consistently and efficiently. At Sullivan + Associates, we realize that the field of psychology is continually evolving and we will continue to update our clinical approach to reflect those changes.

We Are Skill Builders And Strategists

As clinicians, our goal isn't merely to listen, empathize and validate our client's concerns. These are essential components of psychotherapy/counselling, but treatment is incomplete until we help our clients to accurately identify what challenges they are facing and develop a customized plan to best manage or overcome these issues. We achieve results by teaching our clients the correct psychological skills and strategies to use to address challenging issues. Often, different obstacles arise in the client's daily life, and new skills need to be introduced, or strategies need to be modified to help clients achieve their goals.
